Spirited and Nurturing Nanny for an Easygoing Duck Lake Family

Warm and Easygoing parents based in Duck Lake, SK are seeking a personable Live In nanny to join them for 1 week in caring for their 2 children! 

​

  • Location: Duck Lake, SK

  • Ages of children: 5.5 and 4.5 year old

  • Start date/Contract dates: Feb 9th - 15th, 2024

  • Schedule: Full-time, Live in schedule for 1 week

  • Compensation: The family is offering an week salary of $1000 with accommodations and all meals.

  • Benefits: Accommodation, Car and Meals included

  • Live-in/Live-out:  Live-in. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided.

  • Other Notes: The family is hopeful to work with a candidate who has experience with special needs children.

HOUSEHOLD DYNAMIC:  - This loving family is looking for a nanny to come live with them for 1 week while the parents travel. They have 2 wonderful children who love to play with cars, trucks and transformers. The younger sibling loves to help his older brother with tasks. They will appreciate working with a candidate who is confident working independently, is a self starter and have worked with special needs children before. They also have 4 dogs (2 indoor and 2 outdoor). Animal lovers should apply!


 
IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • This position is ideal for someone with an outdoor-focused, developmentally-minded, communicative, and warm brand of care! A candidate who engages and plays with the children. In particular, their 5.5 year old is in a wheelchair and will need help bathing, dressing and going to the toilet and would benefit from the care of someone well-versed in those types of health challenges.

  • Someone who is confident in taking over from their mom by maintaining routine and keeping the children while mom is travelling will excel in this role. The family is excited to work with candidates who are easy-going, organized, and professional.

  • This is a child-focused role, and all responsibilities will be child-related. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child(ren) to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to washing dishes, prepping meals and tidying.

  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience working with children in a wheelchair. Someone who is well-versed in child development and is up to date on the latest in the field will be appreciated.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience

  • Knowledge and experience with special needs children

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Pet friendly!
